Romans 12:2 says:
“Stop imitating the ideals and opinions of the culture around you, but be inwardly transformed by the Holy Spirit through a total reformation of how you think. This will empower you to discern God’s will as you live a beautiful life, satisfying and perfect in His eyes.”
God is raising up a new generation of leaders. Real leadership doesn’t begin on the stage—it begins in the classroom, in the mind, in the daily choices no one else sees.
Too often, the voices we call “leaders” are only echoing culture, following ideas handed down by others. Sadly, the church has fallen into the same trap. But the Spirit is calling us higher. It’s time to break free from imitation and be renewed by God’s truth—so that we can live that beautiful life Paul describes: a life aligned with God’s will, powerful, satisfying, and unshakable.
That’s why we’re here. This conference is not the finish line—it’s the starting point of a journey. Over the next few days, our prayer is that you will be inspired and equipped to reclaim your mind from competing worldviews and step fully into your calling: to be part of the generation that rises to build God’s kingdom in our time, and for the generations yet to come.

Tendai Chitsike arrived in Grahamstown (Makhanda) in 1997 to study a BA and LLB at Rhodes University. Upon completing his law degree, he felt called to remain in the city to reach and disciple students in his local church, Every Nation Grahamstown. After leading campus ministry from 2002 until 2007, he has since served as the lead pastor. Tendai is happily married to his wife, Keryn, and they are blessed with two children, Gracie and Joel. Tendai and Keryn lead a church that believes in discipling leaders, planting churches and reforming nations. Having studied in a liberal university, Tendai saw firsthand the pressing need to defend his faith. Since then, Tendai has had the desire to teach others the vital importance of having a Biblical Worldview in a world shaped by ideas. This desire has led him to disciple students in lunchtime talks on campus, annual worldview seminars and writing monthly columns in Joy and Gateway Magazines at various times. Beyond the 9-5 of work, Tendai enjoys being with his family. A Man Utd fan from boyhood, he is hoping to pass on this legacy to his offspring, an endeavour that he finds highly challenging at present.
Nigel Desmond in the early 1990’s, Nigel was part of a campus revival on the University of Cape Town that became the spearhead for a church planting movement spreading around the world. Together with his wife Debbie, they have planted several churches including the God Adventure church in East London that became a catalyst for revival impacting churches in South Africa, Europe, United States, and across the continent of Africa. Having been radically transformed by the presence of God, Nigel is passionate about bringing people into encounter with the manifest, tangible presence of God. He longs to see God’s Kingdom coming through the dual expressions of revival and reformation. Nigel brings trusted prophetic ministry, anointed preaching and teaching with miraculous signs and wonders. There is a strong sense of God’s presence accompanying his ministry. Currently leading a multifaceted ministry called “Infinite,” Nigel and Debbie live in Cape Town, South Africa with their four beautiful children.
Dr Sagwadi Mabunda is a Senior Lecturer in Law at the University of the Western Cape and an Advocate of the High Court of South Africa. While widely recognised for her expertise in cybercrime and economic justice, she is also pursuing a Bachelor of Theology at UWC, where her interests centre on Christian apologetics, worldview formation, and the intersection of faith, law, and society. She brings a unique perspective that bridges rigorous legal scholarship with a deepening theological commitment to how the Christian response shapes contemporary challenges.
Mike Taberner has married to Karen for 27 years and together they are parents to two amazing kids Emily and Sam. He has been part of the Infinite family for the past five years. During the week he heads up Brandesign Group, helping organisations grow with strategy driven conversations. On Sunday you’ll find him on stage, bass guitar in hand, adding some groove and lending his voice to our worship.
Mike loves cheering people on, whether that’s through a sermon, a strategy workshop or a good chat over coffee. Preaching is one of his sweet spots: he’s passionate about unpacking Scripture in ways that feel practical, hope-filled and easy to remember on Monday mornings.
When he isn’t teaching or part of the worship team on a Sunday, you will likely find him somewhere in the church chatting up a storm, often needing to be reminded that he needs to leave!
Edgar Sishi loves journeying through ideas and places. He is a husband and father of three.
